Smash Crispy cinnamon churro Rice Krispie treat: I do love marshmallows and Rice Krispie treats, but I find the Kellogg’s blue square to be overly sweet. This square-shaped Bar from Smash is not as chewy in texture but has a pleasantly spiced cinnamon churro flavor and only 6g of sugar per bar. I would definitely purchase other flavors to try! Tao Kae Noi seafood flavored crispy seaweed: I've become pretty fond of this line of seaweed snacks: each piece of seaweed has a unique, crispy texture, but it's still thin so it feels like a light snack. The seafood flavor contains a mix of cuttlefish, shrimp, and crab. Definitely distinctly seafood in a sort of traditional Asian way, but I like it. Too bad each bag only had 2 servings. 3.5/5.0

Tao Kae Noi Sriracha chili sauce flavored crispy seaweed: While the packaging features a mascot that can't take the heat, I was surprised to find this snack lacked any punch. I don't have a high spice tolerance, yet I wouldn't characterize this snack as spicy at all. If I didn't know it was supposed to taste like Sriracha, I would have guessed a sweet chili flavor rather than a spicy one. The seaweed also was not very crispy compared to other times I've had this snack. I'm not sure if I got a dud, but this product was disappointing overall. 2.0/5.0

Trader Joe's Ghosts & Bats Crispy Potato Snacks: These thinly-sliced potato crisps are light and definitely more like crispy crackers than potato chips. Very strong potato flavor. They taste the most like french fries of any potato snack I've purchased off the shelf largely because it has an aftertaste that is reminiscent of fried foods. The shapes are super cute and perfect for the Halloween season. If I were to bring snacks to a Halloween party, this would be it. 3.5/5.0

Wei Chuan squid flavored crispy fish rolls: Ingredients include lizard fish, red mullet, Chilean giant squid, and mitre squid. Upon opening, the bag smells strongly of fish food (which is pretty cannibalistic if you think about it). While the packaging shows what appears to be mini yellow spring rolls, the squid flavored snack is actually brownish-red. Each piece is about the width of a cinnamon stick and had a hollow interior. It's thin and crispy and tastes like dried squid combined with fish sauce. A bit of heat. High in seasoning. 2.5/5.0
