Toms Giant Chocolate Turtle: This chocolate turtle was sent to me from Denmark as part of a conference "goody bag." Its shape is much more realistic than the pecan-caramel chocolate turtles I've had in the states and features a hexagonal shell pattern, paws for its legs, and two extrusions for the turtle head and tail (but with no discernible face). Tootsie Roll Watermelon Tootsie Roll Pop: In a bowl of free Tootsie Roll Pops at CopyTech at MIT, I came across this watermelon lollipop, a flavor I hadn't previously encountered. According to Wikipedia, it was introduced in 2004. I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't had a Tootsie Roll Pop in about a decade, but I do have a "soft" spot for Tootsie Rolls generally. Trader Joe's chocolate coconut almonds: An indulgent snack that feels like an elevated Almond Joy. Bite-sized, snackable balls of almond covered in coconut and coated in dark chocolate. Very good and addicting. Perfect level of sweetness. 4.0/5.0

Trader Joe's smashing s'mores: Marshmallow on a graham cracker coated in milk chocolate. The package instructs to microwave between 4 and 6 seconds for a \"traditional treat.\" I did 5 and noticed no change, so I added a few more seconds and some marshmallow immediately leaked out. Stick with 5 seconds. Personally, I prefer my s'mores with just a bit of chocolate, but this is definitely a chocolate lover's s'more. Which is unfortunate because the milk chocolate isn't great. Trader Joe's gluten-free Joe-Joe's: Generally, I don't purchase gluten-free snacks since I don't have any special dietary needs. This box of Trader Joe's alternative Oreos was purchased for a lab event, so I only sampled a few cookies. The texture of the cookie wasn't significantly different than gluten-full chocolate cookies, though it was slightly more crumbly. I did like how the cookies overall weren't overly sweet. Overall, a decent snack, though I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase them. 3.0/5.0

Trader Joe's rolled oats and peanut butter fiberful granola bars: Like most fiber bars, all semblance of healthfulness is masked in candy-bar coatings. This one has a chocolate base, drizzled chocolate, and a chewy peanut butter and oats foundation. Don't get me wrong: I'm not complaining. This candy bar that just so happens to have 9g of fiber is a filling snack to get you through your post-lunch hunger pang. 3.5/5.0
