T. K. Foods Salted Egg Yolk Cookies: When my parents shared these Chinese salted egg yolk cookies with me and told me they were available at Costco, I was skeptical. Sure, Costco has a lot of Asian customers, but the idea of salted eggs as a sweet snack didn't strike me as having mass appeal. Fundamentally, though, eggs are a primary component of many baked goods, so if you think about it, the idea of a salted egg-based treat doesn't seem so foreign. Want Want cheese flavored rice crackers: In this bizarre East meets West snack, a cheese powder reminiscent of what you might find in boxed mac and cheese is paired with the crunchy, neutral base of an Asian rice cracker. The combination is odd yet intriguing. The cheese flavor is lighter and creamier than most cheese snacks but surely not any less artificial. The packaging is much nicer than most Want Want snacks-each packet contains two rice crackers in a frosted, plastic wrapper. 3.0/5.0

Want Want Chicken and scallion mini rice crackers: Crunchy rice crackers shaped like golden brown nuggets coated in a seasoning tasting largely of onion and garlic. I wouldn't have guessed it was chicken flavored, but it does have that vaguely bouillon + MSG mix you get from seasoned ramen packets. Overall, I thought it was so-so. I prefer the rice crackers that have a more balanced savory and sweet coating. Purchased from Hong Kong Supermarket in Chinatown, NYC. 2.5/5.0

Want Want Pepper flavored rice crackers : I bought a set of three different flavors of rice crackers last time I was at Hong Kong Supermarket, and this was the second bag I tried. The pepper seasoning reminds me a bit of the coating on Taiwanese fried chicken, which is to say a savory salty flavor that's mildly spiced. I liked it more than the chicken flavor since it tasted less of soy, but it wasn't so noteworthy that is recommend. 3.0/5.0

Wei Chuan sesame paste buns: Frozen steamed buns with a sweetened black sesame filling. Similar taste to tang yuan balls often served with red bean soup, but not quite as dessert-y, so is justifiable for breakfast. 3.0/5.0

Wei-Chuan red bean and jelly popsicle: Icy bar studded with red beans and slivers of green jelly. Jelly adds an intriguing texture but is mostly flavorless. Pop as a whole is in the sweet side. 2.5/5.0
