Kung Fu Tea golden oolong milk tea with boba: Unfortunately, this tea lacked balance, with too much milk and not enough tea. I got it with half sugar, which was sweet enough. Boba texture was very good, so a shame the drink was not up to par. 3.0/5.0

Boba was on the soft side but decent. Quickly learning that quality control varies a lot among the KFTs in Boston. This one in Boston on Mass Ave near the Christian Science Church is alright. 3.0/5.0

I also think it wasn't mixed properly because the first half was sweeter than the second. Boba was on the soft side. Honey overpowered the green tea. From KFT in Allston. 2.0/5.0

They were out of their normal milk teas, so I got one of these cheese-foam options, which seems to be growing in popularity at bubble tea shops more generally. Mr Boba is a small, humble shop with an expansive menu of slush, milk tea, and coffee options. I purchase a mystery mixed grain slush with boba, the ingredients of which the employee didn’t even know. In the end, it tasted like the powdered cereal packs you can get at asian grocery stores that you mix with hot water to give you a loose porridge consistency. You can commonly find them with a mix of ground barley and black sesame. As a s... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Maybe not, but when 90% of the line is made up of Asian customers in Irvine, it's probably a good sign. This popular bubble tea shop has two locations in Irvine, and this unassuming shop in the middle of a large strip mall, sandwiched between a Ralph's and CVS, unfortunately only takes in-person orders (the other location has an online ordering system). I went with my family and was able to sample four different drinks, but the one I o... (read more) 4.0/5.0
