Kelvin Slush ginger and white peach slush: This Brooklyn-based company has a truck that makes its way around the city. You purchase a slush by first picking a base and then adding a fruit mix-in. At Smorgasburg, I selected ginger with white peach, and the combination was exceptionally good. They add the mix-in halfway through so the flavor is more distributed, and the texture of the organic slush is impressively smooth. Kind oats & honey with toasted coconut:: One of the best granola bars I've had. They're substantial and have a very unique texture - the bar is glazed and chewy but contains crunchy grains, including quinoa and buckwheat. The flavor is excellent with a balanced amount of sweetness. 4.5/5.0

La Farine frangipane: Excellent pastry. Flaky crust topped with almonds. Inside is fluffy and light. Center has lightly sweetened almond paste. Some parts of the exterior are dark, but they're caramelized rather than burnt. Very sizable and filling for the price ($2.95). 4.5/5.0

La Super-Rica Horchata: A quick stop for lunch turned into a 2.5 hour detour, with extremely long lines at the Santa Barbara favorite La Super-Rica. Food-wise, while some tacos were excellent, it wasn't worth the wait, but the most worthwhile offerings were their fantastic drinks. The horchata was eye-opening, with a creamy mixture of spices and nuts and smooth consistency. Its styrofoam cup belied its complex and noteworthy flavor.
