Brown Cow vanilla Greek yogurt: Of the four I tried, this flavor was the most distinctive. It's on the sweet side but has a nice mellow vanilla flavor and creamy texture. 3.5/5.0

Bruce Cost blood orange and Meyer lemon ginger ale: I'm a fan of the regular Bruce Cost ginger ale, so I was happy to find a limited edition citrus version. Despite shaking the bottle beforehand, I found the flavor to be weak on the top but much more potent on the bottom. The citrus flavor was nonetheless refreshing, and the ginger left a pleasant tingly feeling in my throat. That's when you know it's good. 3.5/5.0

Bruce Cost Passion Fruit ginger soda: Brooklyn-based Bruce Cost offers some of the better ginger sodas more widely available (at Whole Foods, for example). Their passion fruit soda is unique, providing a sharp tropical flavor combination. Like others in their line, the Soda has ginger sediments on the bottom that give texture and spice. 3.5/5.0

Bubble Tea Sharetime Matcha milk tea with boba: This compact bubble tea shop on Shattuck in Berkeley, CA is best suited for ordering bubble tea to-go. Its proximity to my apartment, as well as its consistently good quality boba and drinks, have made it my go-to bubble tea cafe, particularly when it comes to milk tea (for fruit teas, Asha still wins). As far as Berkeley goes, the milk teas at Sharetime are better than UCha, Purple Kow, and Sweetheart Cafe, mostly because they aren't too sweet and taste more like tea than milk. On my last... Bubble Tea Share Time Ginger milk tea with boba: Small mom-and-pop bubble tea shop Share Time is yet another bubble tea option in Berkeley. Located on Shattuck about a ten minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART station, Its menu consists of largely classic milk and fruit teas. Their ginger milk tea is very good, with a prominent ginger flavor mellowed out by creamy milk. Boba was above average in consistency - a little soft but with good elasticity. Would visit again. 3.5/5.0

Burma Superstar Lotus Root Chips: I ate at Burma Superstar in Richmond 6 years ago, so I instantly recognized their branding when I saw this bag of lotus chips on the shelves at Berkeley Bowl. Thinly sliced lotus root is deep fried and lightly tossed with nori, cayenne, and sesame. Oil saturates the rings, leaving your fingers coated in a thin layer of grease and speckles of seaweed. No serving size indicated on the packaging, but they lasted two days at work. 3.5/5.0
