Jane-Jane Hot Prepared Shredded Squid: I grew up eating this dried squid snack and continue eating it to this day. The stringy texture makes is more manageable and snackable than jerky, and its heavy MSG seasoning is full of umami. The Hot is not exactly spicy but had a satisfying kick. It's also just a little bit sweet. 3.5/5.0

Wei Chuan squid flavored crispy fish rolls: Ingredients include lizard fish, red mullet, Chilean giant squid, and mitre squid. Upon opening, the bag smells strongly of fish food (which is pretty cannibalistic if you think about it). While the packaging shows what appears to be mini yellow spring rolls, the squid flavored snack is actually brownish-red. Each piece is about the width of a cinnamon stick and had a hollow interior. It's thin and crispy and tastes like dried squid combined with fish sauce. A bit of heat. High in seasoning. 2.5/5.0

To be honest, the main reason I purchased this product is because it was the least expensive at $3 a bag (about half the price of the alternatives at Hmart). Inside is bite-sized strips of squid, almost like eating beef jerky, and each strip is coated in what seems to be sugar.
