Dalton Cola soda: I spotted this intriguing bottle of cola on my colleague @sharingnicely's desk, but we noticed it was over a year expired. Still, the list of ingredients (which includes lemon, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and lavender) was enticing enough that we gave it a taste. After chilling the beverage and sampling it, I found an expertly balanced cola with mild yet distinct floral and citric notes. Morgenstern's Stingray Creamsicle: This is the best creamsicle I've ever had in my life. The vanilla ice cream contains bites of chewy lemon jam and is double dipped in both lemon and concord grape flavoring, giving it an impossibly smooth shell and layers-on-layers of flavor. The perfect combination of swert, creamy, tart, and fruity. Part of the limited edition #fuckthatsdelicious special at Morgenstern's in NYC. 5.0/5.0

Fresco Gelateria Lemon Basil and Strawberry Gelato: Located in the East Village, this small shop has an impressive mountainous range of gelato on display, each labeled with Scrabble tiles. They serve some of the best gelato the city has to offer. The lemon basil was equal parts sharp and herbaceous, and the strawberry flavor had excellent texture. Just the right amount of sweetness too. Highly recommended. 4.5/5.0

Happy Lemon lemon green tea: Perfectly balanced tea drink with just the right amount of sweetness. Refreshing and acidic. Not shy on lemon flavor but not overpowering either. Exceptionally good! 4.5/5.0

Morgenstern’s Cardamom Lemon Jam ice cream: There are many great ice cream shops in NYC, but Morgenstern’s has been my favorite for a long time. Over the years, I’ve found myself mostly purchasing their specials, but this time I ordered one of their regular menu flavors, and it did not disappoint. This cardamom lemon jam ice cream has a really wonderfully spiced cardamom flavor, with a creamy yet sharp acidic aftertaste. Texturally, it is perfectly smooth. It’s a fantastic flavor that shows off how consistently good Morgenstern’s can be. 4.5/5.0
