Yamada Bee Factory 塩とシークヮーサーはちみつ: A second beverage I had from the hospital vending machine is this salted citrus beverage with organic honey. Its color, an electric yellow-green, makes me naturally think of lemon Gatorade, which it has a similar flavor to except the sweetness has a little more depth, and the consistency is a slightly thicker on the tongue. A decent sweet beverage good for the impending summer heat. 3.5/5.0

Fujiya Lemon Squash Soda: This is a classic lemon soda that can be purchased in Japanese vending machines. From what I understand, Fujiya is a food conglomerate that makes many popular, long-standing snacks and drinks. This lemon soda tastes a little bit like sprite but with a more pungent citrus flavor. It's definitely really sweet, but it's well carbonated and refreshing. I'd get it again! 3.5/5.0

KitKat Yuzu kitkat: There's a small KitKat shop in Ginza. I'm not sure if it's the main one because I've seen more KitKats in a room in most malls here, but they did have them individually packaged in nice collector cases. They were pretty pricey, a $3 for a single KitKat (not even the type you break in two, which I thought was a defining characteristic given the jingle but apparently not in Japan). Galvanina Chinotto Italian Sparkling Beverage: This is unique organic citrus soda with "myrtle leaf orange flavor" (according to the ingredients list). The color of the soda is a dark brown, so I assumed it would taste like cola, but instead it's a very distinct citrus drink that tastes a bit bitter and slightly medicinal. I personally enjoy bitter drinks and appreciated that it wasn't too sweet overall. Would recommend if you're looking for an alternative soda! 4.0/5.0

Aguas Frescas La Gotita Limonada con Chica: We purchased this drink after waiting two hours in line for goat tacos at the Taco Y Birria food truck in LA's Boyle Heights. I hadn't previously heard of the combination of chia seeds and lemonade, but it turns out it's a traditional Mexican drink called Chia Fresca. The massive 32 oz bottle, similar in size and just a tad lighter than my hand weights, contains 4 servings of lemonade with 44g of sugar each.
