It’s slightly less sweet than Sunkist or Fanta but has a similar underlying citrus flavor, though milder. It tastes more like tangerine to me than your typical orange soda. As you may expect, its ingredients are just high fructose corn syrup, orange juice, sugar, and water. A decent level of carbonation, with smaller bubbles than Coke soft drinks. Golden Steamer Lotus bun: My coworkers may think I was joking when I said I was going to try every bun from Chinese bao shop Golden Steamer, but let me assure you that I’m going to do my best. This lotus bun was a more traditional option, with a thick and sweet lotus seed paste filling and standard steamed white bun that is denser than other options at The Little Italy bakery. Not as good as the other buns I’ve had, but still, at under $1, it’s hard to complain. 3.0/5.0

Kuang Chuan Oolong Tea: I spent some time this summer looking for the best asian grocery store to buy bottled tea in Chinatown and ended up wandering into a handful of different small shops. To be honest, I don’t recall exactly which one this drink was from, but this bottle of oolong tea was decent - slightly roasted flavor, unsweetened, and thirst quenching. It wasn’t good enough for me to seek out again, though. 3.0/5.0

Lonely God Japanese Seaweed Flavor Potato Chips: A quintessential Chinese snack whose name is likely the result of a mistranslation, these auger-shaped potato snacks are about 1.5 larger than Frito flavor twists and slightly softer in texture. They're coated in a savory sweet seaweed powder. Purchased from Hong Kong Supermarket, they're one of the many examples of Asian snacks commonly found in 7-11s in Taiwan, but difficult to find in America. Wringley's Extra grape flavored gum: I'm not a big fan of gum. You might have noticed that, as I have zero gum reviews on Tasty Snacking and don't believe I've ever bought a pack of gum in mg life. This Wringley's Extra grape-flavored gum is from China and was offered to me by a friend. It has a Chiclet-like coating though it is thinner and longer in shape. Want Want Pepper flavored rice crackers : I bought a set of three different flavors of rice crackers last time I was at Hong Kong Supermarket, and this was the second bag I tried. The pepper seasoning reminds me a bit of the coating on Taiwanese fried chicken, which is to say a savory salty flavor that's mildly spiced. I liked it more than the chicken flavor since it tasted less of soy, but it wasn't so noteworthy that is recommend. 3.0/5.0
