Nourish Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bites: These small bites fall somewhere in between granola bars and cookies, with a mix of grains and chia seeds with chocolate and peanut butter in cookie-crisp-sized pieces. A potentially more convenient option if you prefer bites to bars, but also more difficult to keep track of portioning. The flavor is pretty good but expected, reminding me of a chewier version of Quaker Oats chocolate peanut butter granola bars. Surprisingly, it tastes a little bit salty. Great job on the packaging though (n... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Humphry Slocombe Peanut butter and fudge ripple ice cream: On my way home from work yesterday, I had intended to stop by Ben and Jerry’s for free scoop day but found the line to be prohibitively long at an estimated 45 minutes. I decided it wasn’t worth the wait, but today, I still had ice cream on my mind, so I stopped by Humphrey Slocombe in the Ferry Building and purchased a $4.50 scoop of peanut butter fudge ripple ice cream. It was creamy and rich in a slightly moorish sort of way, with a classic Americana flavor more peanut butter than chocola... (read more) 3.5/5.0

M&M Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies: According to Wikipedia, Peanut Butter M&Ms have been around since the 1990s, but I've never encountered them until recently. This particular "FUN SIZE" bag came from the office candy jar, and as I missed any Halloween fodder due to a flu last fall, I felt that my consumption was at least permissible. Inside your standard colored candy shell is a solidified peanut butter paste, not too unlike Reese's Pieces in its slight creamy yielding texture (in contrast to the classic chocolate filling ... Kind Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Bar: Kind is a rare brand where quality meets affordability. Their mantra, "Ingredients you can see and pronounce," clearly manifests in their packaging and choice of ingredients. This bar, combining glazed nuts drizzled with dark chocolate on top of a chocolate-coated granola base, is familiar yet executed well. A good, filling snack. 3.5/5.0

Juice Bar Collective Peanut butter banana shake: Juice Bar Collective is probably my favorite food spot in The Gourmet Ghetto in Berkeley. It's a small worker-owned collective that offers a variety of veggie (and a few meat) entrees like polenta, lasagne, and bahn mi. This may be surprising given the name Juice Bar, but they also had some fantastic beverage options to accompany your meal. The peanut butter and banana shake I had with soy milk had just the right amount of peanut butter without affecting its smooth, creamy consistency. Much ... (read more) 3.5/5.0

Kashi Almond Snickerdoodle Chewy Nut Butter Bars: Here, Kashi continues its quest to introduce candy-like flavors to their otherwise health-centric line. Oats and chopped almonds are held together with an almond butter paste. A spiced cinnamon flavor not unlike cinnamon toast crunch dominates the taste. Seems sweeter than its nutrition facts reveal, with 6g of sugar a bar. Like the coconut macaroon bar I previously reviewed, it's not particularly filling but tasty while it lasts. 3.5/5.0
