Pavel's Plain Nonfat Yogurt: This was my first time trying Russian Yogurt, which I don't think is actually a distinct regional style but rather a marketing term used to describe a particular way of making yogurt (Googling the term "Russian Yogurt" only brings up the Pavel brand). The yogurt forgoes any stabilizers and emulsifiers, which gives it a varied texture similar to cottage cheese. While I did like that the yogurt was more tart than most plain yogurts I've purchased, its texture would definitely take some getti... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Smari New Orleans Coffee Organic Icelandic Yogurt: I finally purchased this brand of icelandic-style yogurt, and since I now wake up earlier and tend to eat yogurt for breakfast, I thought I would combine a bit of caffeine into my morning routine (without having to actually brew coffee). The rich whole milk yogurt is not as thick as Siggi's or Fage but also creamier and smoother, with specks of coffee bean throughout. The coffee flavor itself is excellent – slightly bitter and not too sweet. Definitely one of the most memorable yogurts I'... (read more) 4.0/5.0

Norr Skyr Organic Gooseberries Yogurt: The clean design and Scandinavian gooseberry flavor made me very excited to try this brand of yogurt. Overall, though, the product was underwhelming for several reasons. First, the texture is much thinner than Siggi's and surprisingly loose for a skyr. Next, the gooseberries (which were cubed and on the bottom of the yogurt) had almost zero flavor and seemed to be present merely for texture, though it was mushy at that. Disappointing. 2.0/5.0

Tilamook Oregon Strawberry Strained Yogurt: This brand of yogurt strikes me as the training wheels of Greek yogurt. If you prefer less thick Greek yogurt and yogurt that isn't as tart but still has the familiarity of fruit-on-the-bottom, this yogurt checks all of the boxes. It's high in protein and has a satisfying by familiar blend of strawberry flavoring. Personally, I prefer the tartness and thickness of other brands of Greek yogurt, but this one certainly isn't bad. 3.0/5.0

Amande Peach Cultured Almondmilk: On appearance, this vegan yogurt looks familiar, with a peach-colored hue and cubes of peach fruit throughout. When you take your first spoonful, though, you'll immediately sense this is a different product, with a consistency much thinner than normal (I would describe it as resembling a thin soup). The taste is also distinct but will be familiar if you enjoy drinking almond milk: it's nutty and rich. Flavor-wise, I actually liked the combination of almond milk with peaches, though the te... Siggi's Mixed berries & acai yogurt: More tart and less sweet than your typical Greek yogurt, this flavor of Siggi's is solid but not one of my favorites in their lineup. 3.5/5.0
