Asha Tea Grape Oolong tea with grass jelly: For whatever reason, this fruit tea is a $0.25 less than many of the other fruit teas on Asha's menu. It has a milder flavor than the Asian Pear oolong, with bits of grape skin at the bottom to remind you that you are, in fact, having a grape-flavored drink. This helps because the fruit flavor, while light and refreshing, is difficult to pin down. Their homemade grass jelly has a slippery soft texture that easily compliments the tea. 3.0/5.0

Wringley's Extra grape flavored gum: I'm not a big fan of gum. You might have noticed that, as I have zero gum reviews on Tasty Snacking and don't believe I've ever bought a pack of gum in mg life. This Wringley's Extra grape-flavored gum is from China and was offered to me by a friend. It has a Chiclet-like coating though it is thinner and longer in shape. Its flavor doesn't last very long, but it reminds me of Hi Chews with a concentrated fruit candy taste that I actually enjoyed, while it lasted. Overall, pretty decent, as ... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Pokka Sapporo Ribbon Jelly Grape Drink: This is another grape jelly drink I purchased from a vending machine. It comes in a plastic bottle as opposed to a can. I like this one less than the other as the jelly is not carbonated, so the overall taste is not as unique. It's essentially a grape juice for kids that contains jelly that you break up by shaking the bottle. One benefit the plastic bottle has over the can, though, is that you can reclose and shake the bottle some more in the case that the jelly doesn't break up evenly. 3.0/5.0

Morinaga Hi-Chew Momotaro Grape and Goyomitsuhime Fig: I used to love eating Hi-Chew fruit chews as a kid, which have a texture somewhere between a gummy and chewing gum. They come individually wrapped and usually have a milky, translucent color and are initially firm but become much softer and chewier the longer you eat them. I hadn't felt the need to buy this snack since living in Japan, but I also hadn't come across two-flavored Hi-Chews before this week and made this purchase for grape and fig flavored Hi-Chews at a local Family Mart conve... Crush Grape soda: Somehow manages to have "natural and artificial ingredients" yet contains no fruit juice (which is clearly marked on the can above the nutrition facts). An insane amount of sugar. Yet this formulated grape flavor harkens back to summer field days with freeze pops, ice cream sandwiches, and other highly processed yet nostalgic foods. In other words, this soda is childhood, albeit a completely unhealthy one. 2.5/5.0

Sangaria White grape soda: This beverage comes in an aluminum bottle with a twist of top. It contains 20% real fruit juice and probably 80% sugar water, along with what appeared to be slightly chewy pieces of grape. Overall, it was extremely sweet and not something I could drink much of in a single sitting. Purchased at Family Mart. 2.5/5.0
