Tower Ginger Beer: Soda with poorly designed packaging tends to be very authentic - they're created by small distributors who don't have a marketing/branding team. Tower, a Boston-based soda company that's apparently been around since 1914, falls into this category. Upon further research, I found that Tower was actually founded in Somerville. Suja organic Mango Magic drink: I would describe this beverage as a slightly spiced version of Odwalla's Mango Tango. They contain almost the exact same ingredients (apple juice, mango purພ, orange juice, and banana purພ), but Suja's has the addition of ginger juice, which gives it a subtle hint of spice at the finish. There are no added sweeteners, as the ingredients are naturally sweet, making the drink overall very sugary (44g per bottle). Natural Brew Outrageous Ginger Beer: I'm likely to purchase any ginger beer I haven't tried before, and this brand was no exception. Its spicy ginger flavor is more potent than most, though I did find the drink overall to be on the sweet side. Generally decent - probably somewhere in the top 40% of ginger beers I've had. 3.0/5.0

Kung Fu Tea brown sugar ginger tea with boba: This hot beverage evolved over time, but for the worse. I really liked how the ginger flavor was prominent and unforgiving-perfect for cold winter nights. But as I progressed to the bottom of the cup, the drink became overly sweet. And the boba was terrible (far too mushy). For the tea alone, it was a 3.5, but with the boba, it comes down to a 3.0. 3.0/5.0
