Ellenos Rhubarb Greek yogurt: A Seattle favorite, with a stand in the center of Pike Place market, Ellenos has a variety of flavored whole-milk Greek yogurt, from chai to passion fruit to mixed berries. Their flavors are shown off in a traditional ice cream display, with containers of yogurt topped with fresh fruit spreads, blending in with the produce stands that surround it. At the stand, you can purchase a generous portion in a walk-around cup, with yogurt spilling out from the top. It's hearty and filling and can be a whole meal if you're able to resist other Pike Place temptations. The yogurt itself is rich and silky, with a distinct sheen and a texture that's not as thick as store-bought Siggi's or Fage. The rhubarb is just a bit tart, having been cooked down to almost a thick jam-like consistency. Before having Sophia's Greek Pantry yogurt in Belmont, MA, I would say this is probably the best yogurt I've had. But once you've had Sophia's, which is thicker and creamier, it's hard to go back. Still, this is an outstanding product worth trying if you find yourself at Pikes (they also sell their yogurt at shops around Seattle). 4.5/5.0
