Tea Hut Avocado Shake: Managed to stop by Tea Hut during my last trip to SF, a great little bubble tea shop in Cows Hollow. This drink epitomizes the ideal version of an avocado shake; super fresh and creamy, refreshing but doesn't leave you feeling overly full or heavy. Consistency was perfect. While it's easy to default to tea drinks at a boba shop, this was a good reminder that classics like fruit shakes can also be well worth a trip. 4.5/5.0

Tea King Grape Clouds Drink: Normally, bubble tea shops seems to specialize in either milk tea or fruit teas, with few shops being able to produce high quality beverages in both domains. Tea King Kiwi Fruit Tea: Tea King is my absolute favorite fruit tea shop in Seattle. Their kiwi fruit tea did not disappoint, with cubes of kiwi fruit with seeds adding their own texture, while the beverage had a refreshing, floral flavor. mixed with housemade kiwi fruit syrup. I got this drink with aloe, which were juicy, slightly crunchy; cut to a similar size as the kiwi fruit, the textures were really satisfying. 4.5/5.0

The Juice Collective Homemade ginger soda: The Juice Collective is a shop in Berkeley that serves meals and drinks to go out of a narrow kitchen. I stopped by on a whim to check out their offerings and had to try their ginger soda given how much I love ginger drinks. The soda is thirst quenching and very well balanced, with an ideal level of sweetness (honey) and a bit of citrus (lemon). Thomas Henry Ginger Beer: A German ginger beer made by Thomas Henry; meant as a mixer, but truly fantastic on its own. Ginger sodas are my favorite, and this is definitely in the top 5 that I've had in my life. The drink is well balanced and has a substantial but not overwhelming spicy flavor, but the real surprise is the lingering heat that lasts minutes after your last sip. Trader Joe's Just Mango slices: Excellent dried fruit snack that had no added sugar. Great because the mangoes are already perfectly sweet. Unlike other dried mangos, you won't get sticky hands since it's unsulfured. Awesome, unadulterated flavor. Only downside is the small serving size (4 pieces). 4.5/5.0
