Gatorade Citrus Cooler: Tangy citrus alternative to the classic lemon, this one has an equal mix of lemon and orange flavors. I find it less cloyingly sweet than the strawberry watermelon. Still, I wouldn’t choose to drink this save for health concerns (in this case, refueling my body with electrolytes due to a stomach flu). Good news is I think I’m recovered! I still have some more beverages to review that I consumed during my illness, though. 2.5/5.0

Coco Libre Coconut water: After having the very good Real Coco coconut water, I have a new baseline with which compare all other coconut waters. This one from Coco Libre has a stronger, slightly off-tasting flavor, which I definitely took as a sign of it being less fresh than the cleaner tasting Real Coco drink. On the more affordable side as far as coconut water goes, but I would gladly pay a bit more for better quality. 2.5/5.0

Zenchai Apple and ginger matcha drink: Zenchai is a matcha cafe in the LES (NYC) with seasonal green tea drinks. I was really excited to try their fall apple cider and ginger green tea drink, but after I ordered and they began to pour out cider from a gallon container of Zieglers (which I haven’t had since I was a kid), I had a sense I was in trouble. Dinosaurs Thai Iced Tea: Dinosaurs is a bahn mi sandwich shop in San Francisco with multiple locations, but the only one I've been to is right at the edge of the Castro. The seating is cramped, but they have excellent Vietnamese sandwiches, particularly their meatball bahn mi. It's almost as good as New Silverstar Deli, but Dinosaurs has more accessible hours outside the normal lunch rush. Ring Tofu Donuts Yuzu Lemonade: I was surprised at how overly sweet this housemade yuzu lemonade was given the light, barely sweetened flavor of Ring Tofu’s donuts. It reminded me of a slightly more tart version of korean citron tea. Definitely stick to the Donuts. 2.5/5.0

Icha Tea Chrysanthemum pu’er tea with boba: Icha Tea in Toronto bears a strong resemblance to Asha Tea in Berkeley; it brews all its tea in house and has a special tea bar for sampling an assortment of hot teas. It takes it one step further by offering house made pastries like black sesame tofu cheesecake. I didn’t get any desserts this time around but purchased an iced chrysanthemum pu’er milk tea with boba.
