Enjoy Life Dill & Sour Cream Plentils Lentil Chips: This bag of alternative chips has an impressive amount of flavor yet has 40% less fat than potato chips. Dill adds an zing that's missing from other sour cream and onion snacks, and texturally, the crispy chips are like little pockets of air, lighter and more satisfying than crackers like Wheat Thins. Would definitely purchase again. 4.0/5.0

Royce' Potatochip Chocolate: After trying some of the flavored ganache at this Japanese chocolatier, I spotted an unusual chocolate covered potato chip line and asked for a sample. Ridged and thick-cut, the potato chips are surprisingly crispy, and the dark chocolate works unexpectedly well with the fried chips. It finishes with a familiar flavor of vegetable oil, but not in an overwhelming way. I'm sure that the potato chips without the chocolate taste better than your typical Lay's or Ruffles. A winning combinatio... (read more) 4.0/5.0

Trader Joe's Turkey Stuffing and Seasoned Kettle Chips: After moving, Berkeley Bowl has become the only grocery store I go to, but when I went home, I was brought to Trader Joe's and remembered all its special seasoning items. Taking advantage of the opportunity, I purchased a bag of Thanksgiving-flavored potato chips, which are the most memorably flavored chip I've had in recent memory. The texture of the chip is solid, but the gravy-flavored seasoning is really what makes these chips stand out. It's robust and concentrated, yet still easy to... (read more) 4.5/5.0

Wheat Thins Veggie toasted chips: I was excited to find that my work has a vending machine with high quality snacks, but when I went to purchase a bottle of Boba Guy's jasmine milk tea, I got sticker shock from the $5 price tag. Instead, I turned to the normcore vending machine and purchased a bag of veggie-flavored Wheat Thins. The chips have a satisfying bite and texture, like a cross between a cracker and a potato chip. It tastes more veggie-flavored than like veggies, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing (like how s... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Primizie Gouda and garlic crispbreads: This product occupies a new snack space for me, with chips falling somewhere between a tortilla chip and a pita chip in terms of thickness and texture. In many ways, it's the best of both worlds, as it's both crisp and hearty. Flavorwise, garlic is prominent, verging on uncomfortable to speak to others after eating. Gouda adds a unique taste that you don't often find in the snack aisle. 3.5/5.0

The Daily Crave Veggie Chips: I received this pack of chips on my one-way flight to San Francisco. What I've never understood about veggie chips is that, purportedly, you might choose veggie chips to have a healthier snack, yet they always taste of oil and have very little veggie flavor. This bag falls into that trap: It's neither bad nor particularly good. 2.5/5.0
