Horizon Peanut Butter Sandwich crackers: Really nice quality peanut butter. The problem is that there is only a sliver of it about a millimeter thick in each sandwich. The filling to cracker ratio is off. Additionally, the crackers are seasoned so that the dominant taste after a few pieces is salt. Which is probably good for portion control, since only 12 of these crackers make up a serving. At least for me, this is not nearly enough to feel any level of satiation. Definitely made for kids with smaller appetites. 2.5/5.0

Horizon cheddar sandwich crackers: Made with better ingredients than Ritz for sure, but honestly not that different in taste. On the salty side. Pricy for what it is. Not a filling snack like its peanut butter sandwich counterpart, which I previously reviewed. 2.5/5.0

Annie's Bernie's Farm Cheddar Crackers: This bagged version of the original cheddar bunnies includes an assortment of farm-shaped crackers dyed in shades of orange, purple, red, and yellow (colored from fruit vegetable extracts like beet and blueberry). The crackers are generally flatter than the normal bunny crackers and seem more dense and less crispy. On the whole, I prefer the original bunny-shaped crackers. 2.5/5.0

Annie's sour cream and onion bunnies: I generally like the Annie's line of crackers, but I was disappointed by this particular flavor, which lacked the zing of your typical sour cream and onion snack. The onion was barely discernible. The crackers themselves, though, were neutral tasting and buttery. 2.5/5.0

Trader Joe's Mochi rice nuggets: The joy of eating mochi comes down to its distinct chewy texture and its faintly sweet flavor, accentuated by even sweeter fillings like red bean and black sesame. So what happens when you take mochi, fry it so it's crispy, and season it so it becomes a savory snack? Trader Joe's is attempting to answer that question with their mochi nugget crackers. The nuggets are slightly larger than a piece of Capt'n Crunch and are on the salty side, with a golden sheen similar to corn cereal. Each crac... (read more) 2.5/5.0

Ikedaya Mangetsu: Shrimp crackers in disc form, flavored with sesame seeds, cuttlefish, and MSG. Similarly textured to the bright pink shrimp crackers sometimes offered at American-ized Chinese restaurants, those these are a bit more dense. Not as boldly flavored as shrimp crackers, though the nori does add a new salinity to the mix. Purchased from Tokyo Fish Market in Berkeley. 2.5/5.0
