Ring Baked Tofu Donuts Adzuki Donut: Ring is a donut shop in Los Angeles I've been wanting to try for a long time but haven't until now because it's a bit out of the way in Canoga Park. Their vegan donuts are made from tofu from Meiji Tofu (previously reviewed on Tasty Snacking) along with other high quality local ingredients. Located in an office park, it has a small storefront with a variety of Japanese flavored donuts as well as a selection of house-made beverages. I tried three different donuts which I'll write reviews of individually. Each donut is about 4" in diameter and is lightly warmed before serving. My favorite of the three was an adzuki (red bean) donut, with small bits of red bean scattered throughout and a unique light texture, almost like an airy pound cake. It's very faintly sweetened, which is exactly how I like my desserts. I was surprised by how moist it was, and overall it was one of the healthier-tasting desserts I've had. If I lived close to it, I would definitely come back to try more flavors. But as it is, I'm not sure if it's necessarily worth the travel. 4.0/5.0
