Cheeseboard X-Bread: Slightly spicy roll with jalapeno, scallions, and cheddar. Best served warm, as most baked goods are, when you can most enjoy its warm and fluffy interior. The flavor is bold but relatively one note. Still, if you enjoy cheesy breads, you will likely have no complaints. 3.0/5.0

Yama Moto Yama Hot'N Spicy Teriyaki Nori Roasted Seaweed: This snack and brand is a staple in Asian grocery stores, and I ate it countless times growing up (though usually in the single-serving plastic packages, rather than the resealable container). This is the first time, though, that I've had the spicy version, which on first take is seemingly mild but quickly escalates to surprisingly high levels. Not as crispy as many of the Korean takes on seaweed crisps, which I've grown to prefer. 3.0/5.0

The Daily Crave Spicy Thai Chili Quinoa Chips: My experience with the brand The Daily Crave, which specialized in veggie-based snacks, has been fairly hit-or-miss (the smoked gouda chips are quite good, but the other cheese flavors I had were so-so). Their Spicy Thai Chili-flavored quinoa chips are the most adventurous I've seen from their line. While I don't normally like quinoa, it lends only a small amount of flavor (that is virtually indistinguishable from other "veggie" chips), and the sweet-and-spicy seasoning is surprisingly tas... Noosa Blackberry Serrano Yogurt: A surprisingly spicy yogurt whose heat builds up quickly, this blackberry serrano yogurt is too spicy to be a sweet and too fruity to be savory. The quality of the yogurt is as good as any other Noosa flavor: creamy yet thick, with enough moisture to not need an accompanying glass of milk. It’s not a snack I plan to return to, yet I think it’s commendable for Noosa to take this risk and give us something I haven’t seen before. 3.0/5.0

Koh Kae Spicy Hot Pot Peanuts Mala: Purchased from HMart in Midtown, this can of peanuts has a uniquely spiced chili flavor that actually does taste similar to a schezuan-style hot pot. It’s savory but not overly spicy, with just enough heat. The roasted peanuts themselves were pretty ordinary, but the seasoning makes them worth trying. 3.0/5.0
