Auntie Anne’s Sour cream and onion pretzell: Almost missed my flight to get this pretzel since they needed 10 minutes to “bake it fresh.” Surprised to find it’s actually the plain pretzels with a heavy coating of powdered seasoning. The sour cream and onion flavor was insane, with an ultra tangy sour cream flavor that had a sharp aftertaste like sweet onion. Dream Pretzels everything pretzel chips: Mini-bagel-shaped chips topped with poppy and sesame seeds. Has the great caraway seed flavor you expect from an everything bagel and also avoids being too salty. 3.5/5.0

Goldfish flavor blasted xtra cheddar and pretzel: Airline food tends to be highly seasoned to make up for our decreased sensitivity to salt in pressurized and low humidity environments. On my last 6 hour flight, I found myself getting alarmingly hungry in the last hour. Giving in, I purchased the least expensive snack, a $2 bag of goldfish. I've sensed that goldfish had become saltier over the years and have avoided purchasing it for this reason. Rogue Voodoo Doughnuts pretzel, raspberry, and chocolate ale: I generally don't drink beer, but I sampled this one in the name of snacks. This ale was inspired by a flavored doughnut from the Voodoo Doughnuts shops in Portland. The chocolate and raspberry flavor came through in the finish, and perhaps the pretzel flavor was captured in the earlier savory notes. Not something I can imagine drinking a full cup, but interesting.
