Lotte Choco Pie: Chocolate covered nostalgia. Unfortunately not as good as I recall from my childhood. Cake is quite dry, but the marshmallow filling is satisfying, and the chocolate is thin. I appreciate that it's lightly sweetened, with 10g of sugar in a pie (much less than you would find in an equivalent American snack). 3.0/5.0

Lotte Chocolate Caramel Choco Pie in Ginza : The iconic snack Choco Pie from Korean brand Lotte is available in most places shops in Japan. This particular Ginza chocolate caramel cake flavor is part of a special edition "around the world" series which takes iconic desserts from various cities around the world. Milk Bar Apple Pie Soft Serve: While I generally find many items at Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar to be overly sweet, one thing that I’ve always loved is their soft serve. The cereal milk soft serve, in particular, is very well judged. This apple pie soft serve, available at the Flagship Milk Bar, is another great example. Milk Bar Pie ice cream: Available at Whole Foods, this Milk Bar branded ice cream is strangely slightly smaller than a pint and tastes more like breakfast than pie, thanks to oat-like crumbles throughout. It’s very rich and sweet and reminds me of Friendly’s butter crunch, with a brown butter caramel flavor. Morinaga Lemon Leafy Pie: Individually wrapped packs of two biscuits each, sized only slightly longer than a typical matchbox. The flaky biscuits inside have a lemon icing on one side only; the other exposes a glazed, crispy reminiscent of pie crust.
