Denroku Porippy Crispy Peanuts: I had previous reviewed the 'spicy' version of this snack and purchased a new flavor to try without knowing what the package said. It turns out that the green bag is the normal flavor consisting of roasted peanuts in a seasoned fried crispy coating. It's definitely missing the extra flavor that the spicy peanut has, which comes in a yellow and red bag. Definitely prefer the spicy flavor; while these were not bad, they are more for purist fans of roasted peanuts than I am. 3.0/5.0

Denroku Okay Pea Eel Peanut Snacks: Rice cracker balls that each contain a single roasted peanut, with a squid-flavored coating that's full of umami. Uses squid from Hokkaido. The balls are slightly smaller than puffed cheese balls but are just as snackable. Kind of like how some cereals feature only granola clusters rather than a mix of flakes and sliced nuts, these peanut rice snacks are typically the best part of rice cracker mixes, so I'm happy to have a bag of the most tasty bits. 3.5/5.0

Doraemon Cafe Grapefruit and peach cream soda: I had planned to go to the “Doraemon” museum from before I came to Japan (technically the Fujiko Fujio museum, the artist who created Doraemon) since the robot cat is a favorite from my childhood. Doritos Mexican Taco tortilla chips: I wasn't expecting to write a review of this bag of Doritos; its familiar red packaging made me believe it was Nacho Cheese flavored, and honestly I was feeling kind of embarrassed that I was homesick enough that I was missing Frito-Lays. Dydo Purush Jelly Sparkling Flavored Grape Soda: This is a very unique drink that you need to shake in advance of opening to break up its gelatinous filling. It contains a mix of "jelly," which has been carbonated so there's no risk of having overly-pressurized soda explode upon opening the can, as well as coconut jelly (Nata de Coco). It tastes like Fanta grape soda, so very sweet, but I really liked the mix of softer jelly and chewy coconut cubes, and the grape flavor is also quite nostalgic for me.
