Cones Ginger and Cantaloupe Sorbet : Cones is a dependably excellent ice cream shop on Bleecker St in Manhattan. I almost always get sorbet when I'm there, and they're always super refreshing and flavorful. Both the ginger and cantaloupe this time were fresh and very light. I recommend getting a scoop and then going across the street to Book Book. 4.0/5.0

I realize in the handful of times I’ve been to this independent ice cream shop, I’ve never had any of their actual ice cream because I’m always lured by their excellent sorbets. This time it was their lychee and ginger sorbets, which were both very sharp and clean tasting. The ginger had a great level of spice, which paired well with the tropical lychee scoop. Smooth and consistent texture as well. 4.0/5.0

From what I've experienced of ginger soda offerings in Japan, they tend to have a spicier ginger flavor and are less sweet than what you'd find on American supermarket shelves (like Canada Dry or Seagram's). That's perfect for me, as I like very gingery sodas. Even as a store-brand offering, this is a great quality ginger soda. According to Tasty Snacking archives, this is the 40th ginger soda that I've had, and it's d... (read more) 4.0/5.0

This time, I got their crystallized ginger topping, which is probably the best candied ginger I’ve had - cut into strips as thin as fruit leather, with a potently spicy bite, all while being just sweet enough. The plain yogurt from Culture was very good too - nicely tart and creamy. 4.0/5.0

This bottle was purchased at Top Banana, a local produce store, and features just a few natural ingredients: blueberries, ginger, green and black teas, and sugar. It has a beautiful natural purple color unlike any beverage I've had before. The overall flavor is fruity, slightly spiced rather than spicy, and h... (read more) 4.0/5.0
