365 Chocolate Almond Pudding: I usually go straight to the snack aisle to look for new snacks to try, but I came across these pudding cups accidentally while walking through the dairy aisle at Whole Foods. While they are overly sweet (20g of sugar per cup), the flavor is great – creamy and nutty with a satisfyingly rich cocoa flavor. The texture is a little more set than your typical pudding cup, which I personally prefer. If it were less sweet, this would be my go-to snack on the rare case I'm looking for a chocolate... Ordered in sets of two, the chocolate baos are coated in melted milk chocolate and slices almonds, with chocolate chips and a cream filling. I’m not a very big chocolate fan, so this wasn’t really a dessert for me, but texturally I liked the combination of crunchy and soft. The cream filling was a bit overwhelming though; it felt more like calo... (read more) 3.0/5.0

The michelin-shaped cookies are made by hopeful pastry chef Lindsey Bittner, and they are perfectly executed, with the most excellent shortbread I have had anywhere. An all-white appearance belies the fruity flavors beneath, with a mix of raspberry and orange vanilla. The citrus flavor is especially prominent and well balanced. Not a fan of the white chocolate or sprinkles that adorn it, which overly simplify the otherwise great quality ice cream. Perfect ... (read more) 3.5/5.0

A potentially more convenient option if you prefer bites to bars, but also more difficult to keep track of portioning. The flavor is pretty good but expected, reminding me of a chewier version of Quaker Oats chocolate peanut butter granola bars. Surprisingly, it tastes a little bit salty. Great job on the packaging though (n... (read more) 3.0/5.0

At the end of it, I found myself naturally walking to a Humphry Slocombe in the Ferry Building, a place I don’t go to frequently but realize now that I always went to when I needed a bit of comfort on my way home from work. It’s a reliable ice cream shop, uniquely San Franciscan with flavors that fall out of the ordinary. I sampled their POG, a passion fruit, orange, and guava sorbet (the toy also co...
