Nairn's Stem ginger oat grahams: Another set of Scottish biscuits from Nairn's, this one flavored with bits of chewy dried ginger. Tastes like a Graham cracker with a bit of spice. Portable snack packs contain two servings, with four biscuits in each pouch. Would probably pair well with tea, though I ate them by themselves. I love ginger, but these biscuits didn't stand out as much as the chocolate chip ones, though they were still good enough to recommend trying. 3.5/5.0

Bourbon Kitanotamago no Sable Biscuits: I've been having a lot of plainer snacks recently, but this biscuit is definitely one of the better ones I've had, in Japan and otherwise. The box comes with 8 individually wrapped cookies, shaped like eggs and reminding me of dinosaur egg cartoons. They have a crumbly texture and sweet, buttery flavor that's surprisingly satisfying and richer than your typical biscuit. 3.5/5.0

Ginbis Asparagus Biscuits: These are biscuit snacks you can find everywhere, named for their stick-like-shape rather than flavor. The scallop-edged biscuits have a sprinkling of black sesame seeds and a lightly sweetened flavor that also tastes lightly buttery. A decent and affordable everyday snack. 3.5/5.0

Nissin Annoimo Waguri sweet potato cookies: I grew up eating coconut sable biscuits from Asian grocery stores, the type that has scalloped edges and a glazed coating with flakes of sugar. I like them so much that i made the biscuit my avatar for Tasty Snacking. It turns out that in Japan, there are extended flavors of this basic coconut cookie. For autumn, they have a sweet potato flavor with decorative packaging featuring maple leaves and chestnuts. I was pretty amazed by how concentrated they were able to get the sweet potato flav... Trader Joe's Blueberry Poppy Seed Cookies: Finger-length shortbread cookies embedded with dried blueberry pieces. Crumbly and buttery biscuit. Poppy seeds are more decorative than flavorful. Still, the cookies are a solid treat. 3.0/5.0
