Cheng Kang Rare Soybean Drink: I'm not sure what makes it rare, but I recently discovered that Asian grocery stores stock several brands of "rare soybean" soymilk. This one is from Taiwan, and I purchased it at Hong Kong Supermarket in Chinatown. I thought the bean flavor of the drink was very familiar and overall ok, but it was heavily sweetened, so I wouldn't get it again. 2.5/5.0

Chersi Duchesse Pear soda: Despite the Russian labeling, this fizzy beverage is made in the US. Oddly, the soda had a bubblegum-flavored aftertaste, though the initial taste was faintly pear-like. Sugary, but not unexpectedly so (38g per bottle). Color-wise, the soda is copper-toned, like a dark ginger ale. 2.5/5.0

Chicha San Chen Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Boba: Was recommended this Taiwanese bubble tea chain from multiple people after they opened just their second US location in Bellevue WA (the first is in San Gabriel in LA). It's located in a small strip mall a block away from the Bellevue Square Mall and while it has a tight, busy parking lot, there is some additional parking down the street. Chimei red bean buns: Made in Taiwan, these frozen buns are light in sugar, at 3g per bun. Once they are steamed past a particular threshold (㸐 minutes), though, the dough tightens up, wrinkling and hardening almost like it was under a vacuum. If anyone knows scientifically what causes this phenomena, I'd very much like to know. That is the most interesting thing about this frozen product, which is pretty average flavor-wise. 2.5/5.0

Ciao Bella key lime graham squares: Thick ice cream sandwiches with a tart and creamy key lime ice cream between soft honey graham crackers. While I thought the crackers were good, the lime flavor was too strong for my taste. 2.5/5.0
